Stacey holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University.  She provides individual, couples and family therapy as a registered psychological assistant (#PSB94023191). Her specific areas of interest are anxiety/depression, life transition issues, creative struggles, identity exploration and women’s issues/empowerment. Her approach is relational, warm and empathic with an emphasis on psychodynamic psychotherapy. She firmly believes in the importance of the therapeutic alliance and working with clients from a culturally sensitive approach to facilitate change. She is trained and experienced with various Evidence Based Practices however her experience has taught her that therapy works best when it is not prescribed as a ‘one size fits all’ but rather as a collaborative and individually tailored approach to accomplish each client’s unique goals. She values the uniqueness of her clients and aims to understand their narratives, which often helps them make sense of their struggles and from there they work together to change negative patterns and facilitate positive change.
